De ce revendicările din Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof reușesc

Cauzele întârzierilor de aici sunt bine documentate — și niciuna nu este vina ta:

  • Stuttgart 21 construction reducing platform capacity
  • Terminus layout requiring trains to reverse direction
  • Knock-on delays from ICE services arriving late from Munich and Mannheim
  • Platform congestion during peak hours

Aceste cauze nu scutesc operatorul de responsabilitate. Congestia și problemele de infrastructură sunt responsabilitatea operatorului.

    Întrebările tale, răspunsuri directe

Why are so many trains delayed at Stuttgart Hbf?

Stuttgart Hbf is a terminus station — trains enter, stop, and then have to reverse out. This takes more time than a through station, and any delay arriving compounds when the same train leaves for its next journey. The ongoing Stuttgart 21 construction has also reduced the number of usable platforms. Around 33% of long-distance arrivals are delayed.

My train reversed at Stuttgart and then left late. Can I claim for the total delay?

Yes. If you board at Stuttgart and your train departs late, the delay you experience at your final destination is what matters for compensation. If that is 60 minutes or more, you can claim 25% of your ticket price. Two hours or more gets you 50%.

The Stuttgart 21 works caused my train to be cancelled. What are my rights?

If your train is cancelled, you can choose a full refund or rerouting on the next available service at no extra cost. If you were rerouted and still arrived at your destination 60+ minutes late, you are also entitled to delay compensation on top of that.

I had a DB BahnCard ticket. Does the compensation apply to discounted fares?

Yes. Compensation is calculated on the price you actually paid, including BahnCard discounts, sale fares, and Sparpreis tickets. The percentage (25% or 50%) applies to whatever that amount was.

How do I know if my delay qualifies at Stuttgart?

Check your original arrival time against the actual arrival. If the difference is 60 minutes or more at your ticketed destination, you qualify. Submit your claim within 90 days of travel — DB removes records after that.
