Right of Withdrawal

1. Right to Withdraw

As a consumer within the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period expires 14 days from the day the contract is concluded — i.e., the day you submit your compensation claim to TrainOwed.

2. How to Exercise Your Right

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision by means of a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or email) before the withdrawal period expires.

3. Effects of Withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse all payments received from you, without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day on which we receive notice of your withdrawal. We will use the same means of payment that you used for the initial transaction unless expressly agreed otherwise.

If you requested that the services begin during the withdrawal period, you shall pay us a reasonable amount corresponding to the proportion of services already provided up to the point at which you communicated your withdrawal.

4. Expiry of the Right of Withdrawal

The right of withdrawal expires early if we have fully performed the service and performance began only after you gave your express consent and acknowledged that you would lose your right of withdrawal once the contract had been fully performed by us.

In practice, this means that once TrainOwed has successfully submitted your compensation claim to the railway operator and/or obtained a settlement on your behalf, the right of withdrawal no longer applies to that claim.

6. Legal Basis

This right of withdrawal is provided in accordance with Directive 2011/83/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council on consumer rights, as implemented in applicable national law.
