On-time performance data is sourced from operator annual reports, national rail regulators (ORR, BNetzA, ART, SNCF Group, Transportstyrelsen), and the European Court of Auditors. Where operator-reported and regulator figures differ, the more conservative figure is used. Claim rates are estimates derived from operator payout data versus estimated eligible passenger volumes; actual rates may be higher or lower. Passenger volume figures are from Eurostat Rail Transport Statistics 2023.
